當香港在一世紀前在英國展出時，會被突顯出哪些面向？
Hong Kong is many things today - global city, international financial centre, former British colony, southern Chinese city, a society with a distinctive local culture and identity, and so on. Each highlights a specific dimension of the city.
When Hong Kong was exhibited in Britain a century ago, what dimensions were emphasised?

黃培烽現職列斯大學社會學及社會政策學院講師，在英國伯明翰大學獲博士學位，並於香港大學碩士及學士畢業，現在專注香港社會、傳媒研究、城巿研究，以及文化及歷史議題的研究和教學。他亦曾在香港大學、香港城巿大學、倫敦金斯頓大學及蘇州港大思培學院任教。在學校工作之前，他曾從事公共事務顧問工作，以及服務於香港商業電台。另外，他亦參與出版超過50本書刊的編輯及製作，當中以香港文化及時事為主。著作包括《十八樓C座：為民喉舌卌年》、《撤出倫敦》及《黑暗之城：九龍城寨的日與夜》（合編；獲2015年香港書獎）等。
Gary Pui-fung Wong is a lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds. He received his PhD from the University of Birmingham in the UK and his Bachelor and MPhil degrees from HKU. He now specialises in research and teaching on Hong Kong society, media studies, urban studies, as well as culture and heritage. He has been a lecturer at the University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Kingston University London and HKU Space Global College Suzhou. Before working in academia, he spent some years in public affairs consultancy and worked at Commercial Radio Hong Kong. He has also been involved in editing and producing more than 50 publications on Hong Kong culture and current affairs. His books include Flat C, 18/F; Evacuating from London and the Chinese version of City of Darkness (co-editor – awarded Hong Kong Book Prize 2015).

在1924至1925年，倫敦舉辦了大英帝國博覽會
（當時亦稱為「英京賽會」），以推動大英帝國內的合作。
香港於專屬的「香港展區」參展，
是在殖民地統治期間，香港僅此一次在英國進行的綜合展覽。
In 1924 and 1925, the British Empire Exhibition was held in London to promote cooperation within the British Empire.
Hong Kong took part, with its own exhibition area - the Hong Kong Section - which was the only comprehensive showcase of Hong Kong to take place in Britain during the colonial era.
This project recreates and analyzes the Hong Kong Section at the British Empire Exhibition (1924-1925) by archival research, architectural analysis, retrospective exhibitions, printed book and multimedia content. The curator and project team demonstrates creativity and originality in the communication design through the visual stories of history, customised displays of artefacts and models, in different medium and different spatial environments.
這項計劃透過檔案研究、建築學分析、回顧展、出版刊物及多媒體內容重構及分析英京賽會（1924至1925年）香港展區。策展人及團隊成員通過各種媒體及空間環境，將歷史影像、以合適的方式展示文物及模型。

這次展覽以立體模型及多媒體投射重現展區，並展出多件具百年歷史的藏品。
This exhibition recreates the Section with a three-dimensional model and multimedia projections, and displays the century-old original artefacts.
